My Dog cries when she buries her food?

We have a chocolate Lab who is totally blind. When you give her a treat, like a rawhide, she starts pacing around whining and she is all upset and then she goes into the garden and buries it, crying to whole time. Has anyone ever had their dog do this? Its gotten so bad sometimes, I hardly give her them anymore. Poor thing, it is very sad to watch. Please, no smarta$$ answers.
