India. Nau ratre or Nav ratre. Ratre or ratri. Any 1 who keep fast for 9 days? Many take light fast for 7 days?
It is NAVA RAATRI--neither Nau nor Nav--------Nava=9--Raatri=Nights--9 days and 9 Nights.Mostl of the devotees observe light fasting only--very small number of people observe complete fast.
